Fishing string mod?.

Could someone post this mod for me?. I lately have been having a problem with my 6080 spitting brake shoes. Well I always just rebuild it and put in new brake shoes when I lose them. This time after 5 rebuilds it did'nt work. I thought about what this fishing string mod might do. I am assuming it's supposed to hold in the impellar assembly?. So I took some fishing string and wrapped it around the pump and when I put the cover on it seals the string tight. Well it's working now!. Did I do the mod correctly?.

I am not familiar with this mod and I don't recommend it, if the brakes are coming out so easily the drive unit is excessively worn and should be replaced. The brakes are critical to getting the proper rotation direction. Usually this happens if the pump was turned off and on using a wavemaker.

Hi!, not sure if I just spoke with you inparticular on the phone but because I expressed my concern to you that on my 6 mo. old 6080, If I might be able to upgrade to the one piece drive assembly because I'm constantly blowing brake shoes allthough it's not on a wavemaker and only comes on/off once a day, you decided that I needed a new drive shaft and sent me one!. Thankyou!. Customer service excellent!.
