Fishy's back with a rimless A.G.E.

Looks like you're going to have to either re-direct those OM nozzles or dial down that Barracuda, otherwise your nice floors are going to get soaked. That's some turbulent flow!

Jason the ATI fixture was originally purchased from Reefgeek.

Mike I was only capturing the output of the Cuda. After I took the pictures I re-directed the flow towards the bottom center and of course I'll redirect it once I aquascape this weekend.

Bax I think I'll skip the fish and invert stage and jump straight to SPS ;)

I got around to adding rock last night and I must say scaping this tank was a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. I had a picture in my mind of two tall columns but it just didn't come out right. Here is what I've done so far. Noting special but lots of room to place corals and hopefully watch em grow up toward the light. Here it is.

Hey Clint, why do you have a photo of a Z in your avatar? You drive a Versa!

If you're going to make fun of my car please get it right. It's a Sentra! And it makes my 65 mile commute much more pleasurable than the Z did I can guarantee that.

Well I removed all the rock yesterday and added 150 lbs of Tropic Eden 3.5 mm substrate. I also redesigned my aqua scape to have a more open center with a thinner left side than the right side. Let me know what you think about the new design like it or hate it. :D

Looks great with the sandbed... I think your new scape looks way better than your initial scape. however my opinion could be influence with the same bed thou'

NICE.

Looks great Clint!

This was one of the tanks that made me go AGE with my new system....cant wait!

Is this the new substrate thats "heavier," kind of in between sand and CC (doesn't get blown everywhere)? John @ Kingfish was telling me about some new substrate like this...

Glad you guys like it although the man himself (Dudester) still does not approve. My plan is to get him over by offering him booze and have him "fix" it. :)

Austin- I'm excited about your new A.G.E. This is actually my second A.G.E. and hands down the best I've seen. Nothing comes close I.M.O.

The substrate almost looks like reactor media. I cranked up the Barracuda the other night and no substrate movement what so ever! It also helps with p.h. and the trace elements too.

Clint,

What an improvement!

Seriously the new aquascape looks great you will just have to watch placement as the plating acros will have to be low.

Seriously great job don't let Mike touch it!

John

Thanks for your approval John. Do you think it'd would make more sense to build the right side up just a tad so that I could have plating acros midway and lower leaving more room for acros up top? What would you have done different?

No don't touch it, you can plate towards the middle open sand area.

The only rock I don't like is the big rock on the right front corner. It is too close to the glass and you need that negative space sandbed to balance the look of the tank. Maybe remove that rock and add it higher to make some high point of interest?

Oh and in a normal tank I'd be worried about how much contact the rock has with the sandbed but with how much flow you have, should not be a problem.
