to a point i thought, but mine is thick and the edges and such where the mag dont fit just look horrible. that and the sand when it starts to color change... i have a algae pad that i use on water change day that takes it all off. humm

For the sand algae, i had the same problem until I purchased a fighting conch..He does a great job of cleaning the sand bed and sifting the sand around. As for the glass I have to clean mine everyday. I think it is a good sign of a healing reef. Also when you clean the glass it feeds your coral so it has a major benefit. If you are having a major problem with stubborn algae on the glass I just recently purchase a add-on to my magna float which works wonder. It called the Easy Blade Algae Scrapper. Well worth the $15 bucks
