I bought a BioCube14 from someone off craigslist and did not notice hairline cracks stemming from the rear corner bottom pain of glass till I cleaned it out. Is there any way to fix this or is it trash?
I had a 150 gal that had a big chip and a crack in the lower corner, Well a little Silicone and I had that tank for over ten years. And Sold it to a Neibhor that still has it running today.
Try it in a safe spot if it breaks no loss, If it don't you got a tank.
Bill
I advise against it but if you must I have seen people in desperate times silicone over the crack and affix another piece of glass/wood over the entire panel with silicone (use RTV 108 though) in order to brace it and reduce the chance of stress breaking the piece.
