Has anyone tried splitting fiji rocks just thinking about making a shelf and after I moved rocks around no way unless I split one or just a flat one ll... now I have a cloudy mess..thanks again cj for all your help I know you are probably still a little stressed with everything but hang in there...Mary

You can split them. Just use a chisel and hammer. Sometimes it helps to drill a few holes with a masonary bit first too. You can wash the rocks in salt water before adding them back to the tank to avoid the cloudy mess as well.
