Flake food for Powder Blue tangs???

I'd like to hear from those who have had success keeping powder blue tangs.

For the sake of convenience, I'd like to get mine to eat flake or pellet food. Has anyone successfully done that?

If they have, which brands?

Ocean nutrition - Formula 2 pellets. (small size - my sailfin is large enough to eat the large pellets but none of the other tangs are yet)

They also eat Rods food (Green) and Nori (all colors).

All PBTs I have kept have eaten NLS pellets, ON flakes and pellet. I feed that predominately and just throw in mysis from time to time, and nori every couple days.

But yes, pbts will gladly and in my experience easily take to eating flakes and pellets.

I like NLS and ON pellets. Lately I've also bee feeding HBH spirulina pellets too.

interesting thanks for replies.

I got mine 4" pbt yesterday from my LFS. it looked pretty good in the store with good color, not particularly thin, no signs of disease, although they said he was in tank with coppper b/c he had recently had ich.

Anyway i put him in my 6' tank with a female scribbled angel, a yellow-headed b-fly, and a bunch of smaller fish (fairy wrasses, gobies, halichoeres) who have been in there for ~ 1-3 years. This afternoon he is eating OSI spirulina flakes and frozen brine quite well.

He is quarreling with the b-fly, but neither is being too bad.

these are really spectacular fish.
