We were lucky enough to obtain a beautiful pair of Flamboyant Cuttlefish {Metasepia Pfefferi} a genus of small cuttlefish here at work.. Very Excited !
For those who are not familiar with this specie they are by far the most beautiful of all the sepia family.
After doing hours of research on them I came across a very interesting write up by Allison Petty who happened to successfully reproduce them in captivity..
Not long after doing the research and reading Allison's incredible article we got straight to work replicating Allison's setup in hopes that we would have the same success here..

Post a picture.

Those a plain beautiful.

Never seen one in real life and the LFS never has one in stock. Where did you get it?

Where did you get them from?

I was recently thinking of setting up a biocube at work and either get an octopus or a cuttlefish.

I have been searching for years to find a Cuttlefish and have been unable to find one. You are very lucky. I would be on the phone with Jesse from Elos immediately to ship out a dedicated tank for the bedroom. After all, anything that beautiful needs the best.

Alittle Update..

We are very excited and keeping our fingers crossed that we see some little ones emerge within the next few weeks...

Thanks for the mention. The original poster is from the Elos AquaStudio® in Short Hills,NJ . Needless to say this pair is well taken care of in an Elos system.
