Flame Angel bullying

I added a flame angel to my DT yesterday. He immediately declare ownership of the tank. He try to scare my wrasses, but not actually try to attack them. However, he would try to bite my coral beauty if my coral beauty comes close. So far I haven't seen him aggressively chase the beauty coral out of the tank. Also, the coral beauty hasn't sustain any injury...yet. The lawnmower blenny is impressive. He wouldn't take the bullying and just stared down the flame. The flame left him alone. Oh, the flame and the beauty are the same size.

I want to give them a chance to get a long before returning the flame to the lfs. I would immediately return him if he injures any of my fish.

How long should I let them work things out? Do you think things will get better or it will only get worse once the flame grows bigger? It's about 2.5" right now.

You can give it a few days. What size tank is it? He is probably doing exactly what you mentioned, he is establishing his territory. Moving forward, Dwarf Angels are labeled semi-aggressive and some can be jerks. I think he will stop bothering the others, but may to continue to have run ins with Coral Beauty.

Critters have territorial demands that aren't really negotiable, and they have it in for certain species that may have similar feeding habits or a shape they don't like. If this doesn't settle rapidly, somebody's going to die, and it's most likely the CB

a 75 gallon tank with 2 dwaft angel is pushing it, but its not like anything in this hobby is 100 percent. So if the cb doesn't start swimming and eating all around the tank, like it used to in a week or 2, you might want to take it out. having a fish Constantly living in stress will weaken its immune system, making it more susceptible to ich and other diseases and parasites.
