Flame Angel Experiences

I am thinking of a flame angel addition to my Reef tank. Sounds like they are hit or miss with the corals. I have a Yellow Tang, firefish two clowns and a goby. Any experiences you can share?

I have a flame angel. i would say the best purchase of my life!

beautiful fish with great personality...doesnt bother my corals or other tank-mates!

I have a flame angel that destroyed over 3 different colonies of zoas (including my safecrackers) and *almost* all of my PPEs. Then one night he went carpet surfing. I don't like to see anything die, least of all animals (and, you know, fish), but i felt there was a little poetic justice in that. I'm not bitter. Nope.

i have zoas and a flame no prob at all other than he eats little feather dusters when they appear, i did alot reading on them and from what i read they seem to be better than not good, but def watch them for a while in your tank

The key is to keep it well fed.

i have a flame for sometime now, no problem in my reef tank. The key is to feed the flame very well.

Mine's great, gets along well with his (semi-agressive) tankmates, doesn't touch the corals... yet. Gorgeous fish, I'm very glad I got him
