Flame Angel Feeding

I just bought a flame angel as the first fish in my new tank, and I already have some zoas and other corals in there. He nips at the rocks but not at the zoas yet. I was wondering since he is not eating brine shrimp or pellets if I could put those strips of algea hanging from a mag float and get him to sucessfully eat? Thanks for the help

Flame Angels can be very territorial and you may find your self having difficulty adding any other fish to the tank after the fish makes its self at home.

My flame angel does not eat the nori. At first my flame angel did not accept forzen food, however it did pick at the live rocks, sand and glass. After about a week it started accepting brine and mysis shrimp and spirulina flakes. However, all the frozen food that it does eat is always the smaller pieces. It tries to take the larger shrimps and spirulina flakes but spits them back out. I am guessing that it may have trouble swallowing them.

My flame eats formula one and nibbles at the Romaine I hang for my tangs. Most of the time it just eats what ever is on the rocks.

My flame eats Hikari Marine 'S' and 'A' pellets, brine, mysis, plankton, and LOVES nori (I use my Mag-Float too, stupid clips always break or have lousy suction cups). One new addition to his diet that I'm not thrilled about is turbo snails - he picks at them relentlessly until they fall off the glass, and then it's a feeding frenzy for all the angels. I think I'm going to have to remove the remaining snails; once he discovered he could knock them down, he made it his full-time hobby

Awesome thanks for all the help... right now he's going to town on the glass and the rocks, I guess I'll just give him a little more time to get used to everything. Thanks again
