flame angel haren (150gal)

Hi guys,

Couple of short questions, if people could kindly comment.

1. Thoughts on the long term viability of a flame angel harem in a 150 reef (60"x24"x24")?

2. Number of fish?

3. Size. Get one big one (biggest I can find); what about the smaller ones.... equally sized, or slight but noticeable difference in size? Living in Asia I can get them fairly "fresh" off the reef so none of them should have started "changing".

4. Q-tine will consist tank trasfer method. The big one can swim around while the smaller ones are confined to breeder trap type containers where they can see and smell one another.

[Ambition]

1. Should be fine long term in the tank you have.

2. I would do 4-5 for it to be considered a harem, and for the size tank you have.

3. Be sure you get one larger and the others small, and a slight size difference won't hurt between them. Keep in mind that within the group of females there will be a hierarchy that they will work out.

4. I wouldn't keep the females separated. If at all possible try lettin them all have run of the QT tank.
