Flame Angel Question

Hi all,

Just wondering if it would be safe to keep a Flame Angel in my tank with a small colony of Green Star Polyps. I've heard that they could nip a bit at times and I want to make sure they don't devastate the small patch of Polyps I have going in my new 90G RR tank. Thanks.

Ive had my flame for about 7 months now. I have a bunch of GSP in many spots around my tank. My flame doesnt nip at anything. I keep him well fed so I think that helps.

I have a Flame in my tank with all kinds of polyps, doesnt seem to bother them,I have heard they might nip at them now and then.

Ditto Flame angel with polyps ...but I agree with Aquareeferman....keep him fed and minimal nipping
Good luck

I've heard both bad and good for dwarf angels in general. It seems to have more to do with the actual personality of the fish rather than the species. But everyone says the same thing - keep them well fed. I plan on getting a flame or coral beauty for my tank in the next couple of months, hopefully i get one who ignores the corals!
Good luck! Flame angels are BEAUTIFUL...

My flame is a model citizen also. I have every type of coral in my tank you can have. I do feed my tank well, maybe too well beacuse of my constant phosphate issue.

He has yet to touch anything. He nips at rock, but I breed alot of pods in my tank so that's what I fiugre he's eating.

Mine nips at Acro polyps now and then... not enough to do real damage but enough so I get zero PE during the day :-(

The fish is lucky he's more attractive than a coral polyp... and tough to catch ;-)
