Flame angel Stringy white poo

Hello,

SPS/Lps 29 gallon reef. Had the flame for about a week. He eats great, mysis, flake, nori, pellet. Today i came home and he was swimming around with stringy white poo hanging out of him for bit. I feed and he ate. Its not lethargic at all. tank mates are a purple dottyback and starry blenny. The angel is boss, no aggression, but they give him a wide berth.

Reading leads me to believe it maybe a internal parasite?

or
from sticky:

hexamita: hole in head disease: white, stringy poop, lethargy, ultimately lesions on head or flank of fish, particularly in angels and tangs. This is a parasitic disease, and responds to Metronidazole, sold as Fish Zole, etc, either food soaked in same; or if fish is not eating, dispersed in the water. The med is very prone to cause damage, so do not overdose. It is a med that will treat both a bacterial infection AND kill parasites. But it is very hard on the fish.

doesnt sound likely, since there are none of the other signs.

I can break out the QT tank, and try to catch him, and treat it prazipro? Or wait to see what happens?

Whats does everyone think?

Prazi-Pro is the only med I'd ever use in a reef. It will only bother feather dusters and other worms. Its a good idea to treat all fish with it, IMO & IME.

It's likely an internal parasite, and yes Prazi is your best treatment option. It's probably the safest med we use as far as fish meds go, so there's no worries about using it if the fish doesn't actually need it. (Though I think it does in this case)

I haven't treated anything in a DT, however MrT. and Snorvich have both said Prazi is fine there. Both of them seem smart enough for me to trust them, so I buy it.
