Flame Angel with white patch

White patch just showed up like two days ago.

No fluffy cotton like stuff, and no raised scales. Just looks like color loss.

All fish have been QT and in the tank for 3 months.

only thing new added was some corals. Duncan, and gorgorian.

Fish didnt eat this AM, was eating last night and days previous.

Tank is new in that it is a downsize. Used some water from old tank that was up for 2 years. New sand. All LR was soaked in peroxide and water. GHA issues. Only added one LR piece from old tank that did not have GHA.

All parameters are fine. All other tank mates are great.

I feed marine cuisine, Formula 1 and 2.

Looks like a possible bacterial infection. Can you get him out and put him back in QT? I would treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic for 10-14 days. Something like Kanaplex or Neoplex.

I am pretty sure I can get him in a QT tank tonight.

I was leaning toward bacterial.

I cant search RC, keeps asking me to log in when I go to another page.

what broad spectrum antibiotic's are there?

Maracyn?

Combining Kanaplex + Furan-2 + Metroplex would be optimal.

You can also use Seachem Neoplex or Sulfaplex.

API Triple Sulfa is another option.

Got the flame in QT today. Ordered Neoplex from Amazon and was supposed to be here today, but now it's tomorrow. So I added paraguard.
I read that it is active for 24 hours so I'll do a water change and then add the Neoplex. I wanted to start some sort of treatment.

That sound like a plan?

I haven’t had much success using Paraguard, but it’s probably better than nothing right now. In addition to the WC, I would also run carbon for a few hours to pull any residuals out. Remove the carbon before dosing the antibiotics.
