flame angel...

I am setting up a 75 gallon FOWLR + inverts + some coral. I understand the flame angel is *kinda* reef safe. Will pick at some corals.. I want Zoe's and mushrooms and maybe a few other easy corals... they are not my passion the fish are. How will a flame angel do in this environment? I want to keep it with a Kole Tang / Salon Fairy Wrasse / mandarin / royal gramma.

As with any fish it depends on the fish. Mine nipped some on a stylo but nothing else.

I have almost always had a flame angel in every tank I've had, for 40 yrs! I presently have 4 in my 450g full reef...no problems (as stated, no guarantees, every fish is different, but worth a 'shot')

If corals are not your passion, then no reason not to get one It is always the first fish visitors comment on when they see my 125!

My flame is/was a known coral muncher. That's how he came to be in my possession - he was destroying his previous owner's SPS. In the couple of years that I've had him I've never seen him touch the mushrooms or softies in my tank.
