Flame angel

Are Flame angels known to be pod eaters. I have noticed since I put mine in a couple days ago it looks to be pecking at the rock all day long like a mandrin does. Doesn't seem to be eating algae but pods. Just was wondering if that is what I am seeing.

I've never noticed mine eat pods in the 5 years I have had it.

I'm sure they eat some pods, but mainly microalgae. You don't have to worry about it depleting our pod population

I see mine grasing rocks all day and I'm sure they eat pods and algae off the rocks. If you're concern of depleting buy a bottle of pods every once in a while to repopulate.

The eat the algea, I dont think they eat many pods.

their main goal is picking at algea, as they are mainly herbivours
