Flame Scallop

I recently picked up a flame scallop knowing the bad reputation that they have. But I figured what the heck? For 8$, I was willing to give it a shot.

I decided to put it in my ten gallon nano so I can concentrate the food source and target feed him with phytoplankton and brine shrimp nauplii with the turkey baster every couple of days. He's attached himself to the chaeto (I can see the little "wires") and has been fully expanded since day one.

What do you guys think? I'm hoping I can have a successful experience ...

I have not heard of one living more than 12 months in a tank, mine lasted 8. Continue target feeding and good luck.

They usually don't last very long like you mentioned. I luckily had one last for 2 years before it eventually just faded and died. I target fed for a little bit then just made sure it was in an area with decent flow.
