Flame wrasse harem.

Don't use cupramine on these... i ordered some flames that had an ich outbreak on arrival which was mild but didn't resolved after a few weeks. I was too lazy to do hypo. Used half the dose recommended of cupramine and all died within an hour.

just treat for flukes.

I am picking the trio up at the airport tonight. QT is at 72F. Is this temp ok? Should I prazipro them tonight or wait a day or two? Don't want to kill them by doing something that could have been prevented.

freshwater dip followed by hyposalinity, and be sure to cover that tank very well they are acrobats whent it comes to tiny holes .

There collected out of deeper water in hawaii. 72F is fine for them. I would recommend you not medicate them until they are eating. Prazi works fine on them copper does not.. If you need to treat for velvet/ich i would recommend nitrofuracin over copper with these fish.

If your going to fw dip.. Be prepared for a fish pretending to be dead and not freak out.( these love to freak you out )

This picture is of around 40 flames in prazi treatment =)

Is it only the flame wrasses that don't handle Cupramine well or is it all wrasses? I am asking because I will be treating a few wrasses soon and was thinking of using cupramine. The wrasses that I will be treating include a solar, red velvet, and lubbock's.

Thanks!

I usually only treat if the fish shows sign of disease. Copper is very evasive.. Copper and wrasses i really think it's the Cirrhilabrus family that has the issue with copper. I've sucessfully treated hallichorus .. but that's my history someone may tell you they have. I'm just saying ... Quarantine doesnt mean hospital ...
