Flame Wrasse Owners...

Just scored a beautiful pair of Flame Wrasses. I have seen some real nice ones on here. Just thought I would ask for any advice on how to keep them healthy and colorful (what foods everyone feeds theirs etc.).

I got the fish from a fellow reefer and they were in his care for about 5 months or so. The male has settled in pretty well and is eating. The female is a little more leary of her surroundings and nibles at food but not nearly as interested as the male at dinner time.

They are very nice additions to my tank and I want to give them the best care I can. I had tried some males in the past and they didn't ship well. So I had basically written them off as being out of my league. These were already adapted to captive life and healthy so I pounced on them. Sorry don't have pics yet. :worried:

Thanks in advance,
C.G.

I originally acquired one large male and three small females. The females ate anything and everyhting from day 1. The male started with finely minced scallop, shrimp, PE mysis, and live blackworms. Now even he eats pellets.

GL with them, they are awesome fish!

All of my wrasses go crazy for the baby size spectrum pellets. I also feed a variety of frozen food. pemysis, mysis, brine, emerald entree. I also feed arctic pods once or twice a week, and cyclopeeze.
