Flame Wrasse

I just got a pair of Flame Wrasse and they're in the QT treated for Fluke with quazipro. I am wondering if it's normal for the wrasse to site in a pvc and not move after being introduce? I can see him moving his eyes when i look at him and he's following me. When i feed mysis they' swim out but then go back to hiding. I didn't get home right away with these pair but they were bagged up in pure oxygen and put into a styrofoam box to keep temperature and when i got home they look lifeless last night. Maybe i am just a bit paranoid about this. ANyone else with flame wrasse can chip in on this. Should i be worry about them? I mean they do swim out and eat when i feed mysis.

Sounds exactly like what my pair was like until I moved them to the display. I dont think you have anything to worry about.

ok thanks they're both out and about swimming around. I almsot had a scare coming home last night with both of the fish looking lifeless in the bag.

Pretty fish. Males are often cryptic in the beginning.

They are eating lots of mysis. I will start the cupramine regiment soon so i can get them into my display tank.

I would put some additional pvc and whatnot in that QT to make them feel safe by giving them plenty of places to hide.

Flames are quickly becoming one of my favorite looking wrasses. Just gorgeous. Good luck with them.

You mean Prazipro?

If you're using Quazipro, I'd worry because I've never heard of that before

All fish look lifeless in the bag when they're being transported.

You really have nothing to worry about, my wrasses did the same thing before I introduced them. Typically, I just do a 10-15 minute dip in Prazipro and QT them.

I don't use cupramine or formaline or anything else. Too many chemicals to deal with.
It's enough stress as it is for the fish.

Goodluck with the pair, great fish! Now you have to get Rhomboids to fill in the rest of the space!

oops i meant prazipro sorry. I will do preventative cupramine on these fish cause i don't want to risk ich infestation in my DT. As soon as they are actively feeding in the next day or so i will start the cupramine treatment.

love my flame once they are fully acclimated they are very open swimmers
