Flame wrasses

Is it possible to keep 2 pairs of flames together?Will they transform to one male and 3 female or fight like crazy? Such a beautiful fish.Thx

I wouldn't do it. I had a pair and the female turned into a male (the male was in the overflow for 3 days). They would attack each other if either ventured from their side of the tank. This was in a 300 gallon.

The Super males are stunning... I would not recommend adding more than one male. I've not heard of a male Flame wrasse reverting back to female.

We acquired a "mated" (I will use that term loosely) pair over a year ago. Several months back, for whatever reason, our female decided to turn male. Ours get along, but the morphed male is obviously a sub-adult and is submissive to the super male. We also feed several times a day to keep everyone "fat and happy".

Males do not revert. Supermale flames don't like each other. At all.
