For the last few months, I've been trying to add an angelfish to my tank. I tried a yellow angel that did not work out at all - he really loved my corals, especially my acans and my favia. So I took him back. Then I tried a Potter's angel, but he was just too timid. He was having trouble getting to food, and I could tell he wasn't going to work out long term. So I took him back too. (Racked up some nice store credit at UA)
I've done some research and am considering a flameback angelfish. They stay small (some sites say they can go in 30 gallons or less) and from what I have read, they are about as good with corals as a dwarf angel can be (i.e. more like coral beauty/flame (GOOD) than bicolor/lemonpeel (BAD)).
Have any of you kept a flameback angel? How did it do with your corals - mostly wondering about LPS (Duncan, hammer, torch, favia, acans), as I don't have any SPS or zoas right now.
Let me know! Thanks!
