Like all angels that go into a reef there is always a chance it will nip. It really depends on the fish. The African Flameback is one of the better choices though. Stay away from its Brazilian cousin. I had one for a while which was doing great but then decided one day to start sampling my xenia. This was not such a bad thing but it slowly moved to other corals (LPS, Acanthastrea's Echino's, Oxypora) so I took him out. He is now in my friends 200g SPS dominant reef doing great. He never mentioned having a problem with this fish nipping at his SPS.
