Flamehawk with Peppermint Shrimp?

I have heard flamehawks like to eat shrimp. I have some aptasia in my tank that I really need to get rid of (copperband butterfly is not an option). Instread of getting Joes Juice and killing them one by one I know peppermint shrimp do a pretty darn good job. I was wondering if anyone has experience keeping peppermint shrimp with a flamehawk?

Flamehawks eat shrimp. It is basically what they do.

I have a pair and they dont bother my shrimp. I have skunk cleaners, peps, bloods and CBS. All depends on the fish. Ive never had an issue though

My flame does not bother my peppermint shrimp, but they are pretty large and were added long before he was. If I added some new smaller shrimp I would imagine he would probably eat them.

However the peppermints eating aptasia is hit and miss. I have 25+ peps and they dont touch aptasia.

What about a longnose hawk and cleaner shrimp? Would it be an expensive snack?

As soon as the flamehawk is larger than the shrimp its gone....

Apparently it's only the small peppermints that really dig into aptasia, and a small shrimp with a hawk just isn't going to work in the vast majority of cases.

Exactly. Remember that ambush predators ARE ambush predators.
