Flasher Wrasse and Clownfish Fighting

Because its not the most aggressive fish. The clown is, followed by the gramma.

Maybe, maybe not. You need to rearrange the rocks and keep the clown and gramma separated from the tank.

You said that you just added the wrasse from it's quarantine. Why can't you set that back up?

it was a disaster attempt at a QT. couldnt control the ammonia levels, dont have time for water changes every couple days, etc.

im also guessing i should put the new clown with the large existing one right so that they can bond, and the little one doesnt turn female and setup her own territory.

It's not a hospital tank so you can put some of the live rock in there with them to help with the biological filtration.

Don't put them in isolation boxes for two weeks, its ridiculous. Setup your quarantine with some established rock and put them in there.

good call, ok thanks, will get on that tomorrow. ill put the 2 clowns and royal gramma in the QT, rearrange the rocks. and put them back in 2 weeks later and cross my fingers.

thanks

I introduced a McCoskers into a tank with a royal gramma and two o. Clowns. The gramma chased him around for a day so I turned around 2 rocks that he claimed and all aggressive behavior went away overnight. Good luck

Okay, Both Clowns Now in the QT with Live Rock. I have been unable to Net the Royal Gramma. I will keep trying, but if i dont see any problems with the gramma and the wrasse, should i just leave them in the DT together along with the PJ Cardinal.

The Gramma and Wrasse have gone all day in the newly configured DT along with the PJ Cardinal. In my 10 Gallon QT i have the 2 Clowns. the plan is 2 weeks and then 'Send in the Clowns' anyone see any issues with this?

ok, so its been 2 weeks, im planning on putting the 2 clownfish back in the DT. anyone have any tips?
turn out the lights?
feed them before transfer or right after?

How are the wrasse and RG getting along and are they both eating well.

pretty well i would say.

RG is waiting his turn to eat, used to come right out at feeding time, now he is waiting for the Wrasse to take 20 seconds first. the wrasse seems like the alpha of the current group of him, the RG and the pj cardinal.
