flasher wrasse hiding

Placed my flasher wrasse in my tank and it was swimming/checking out the tank. After coming back from throwing away the bag, can't see/find the fish.
Checked to see if it carpet surfed and no body so I assume it is hiding in the sand/rocks.

How long will it take a flasher wrasse to come out from the rocks and swim in the open?

Thanks.

My last addition, a yellow clown goby, hid for over a week. I thought he was dead, but now he eats food off my fingers and wont leave me alone when I clean the tank.

However, if the flasher wrasse CAN carpet surf, it eventually will. You need a covered tank with no more than 1/4 inch holes.

It looked healthy at the store where it ate brine shrimp prior to my purchase.

My tank is covered.

I see where the wrasse is hiding in the rocks, but it still has not come out.
I tried coaxing it out by feeding mysis, but no luck.

Still waiting.................hopefully it will be a live ending.
