Hi,
I have had a Carpenters flasher wrasse in QT for 3 weeks. He has been fine from day 1, very active and always eating.
I went away for a week last week, and when I came back I noticed that both his two dorsal filaments are missing as well as a small chunk out of his tail.
I suspect this is fin rot. He is still active and eating and appears healthy.
I have not dealt with this before so I would appreciate some advice on the best course of action.
I have Myxazin, Sera Tremazol and Metroniadole in my medicine cabinet right now.
Finally, can high phosphates be a cause of this, I have an Elos high res phosphate kit and when I tested the water, the phos level was off the scale.
I do a 20% water change every fortnight on my QT so I wouldn't have though the water quality would be too bad.
I've tried to upload a couple of photos to show the damaged fins.
All advice appreciated
Thanks
Lee
