Aggressive 65 gallon with live rock. fish are a porc and a bursa trigger. Porc started to show signs of ich, so i started hyposalinity, (this has works for me in the past) 2 weeks into it and the porc is showing great signs of improvement. The Bursa started flashing 3 days ago, is still eating fine, but is now doing the following

has a mucus layer coming off
still eating but now just holes up not actively swimming
blotchy patches.

Figured i would ask you guys what to do.

Using hypo in the show tank will destroy most of the inverts. Its easy to move the big ones but many forget that the live rock and substrate are loaded with micro critters/infauna that can die during hypo .. that can result in ammonia issues.

Excess mucas could be a bi-product of ich, ammonia, or even another disease (brooklynella for example). New fish introduction lately?

Blotchy patches can be a number of things ranging from bacterial issues, malnutrion, or simply stress.

A picture would help.

i'll take a pic. the trigger has been in the tank for 1 year. it's an aggressive so no inverts. so i wasn't worried about killing them, however i didn't think about the microflauna. although if it was ammonia stress wouldn't both the fish be showing signs?

as for food, shrimp, crabs, and saltwater baitfish.
