flat worms outbreak

Looks like i had a little outbrek of flatworms. what is best way to get rid of them .

I had the same problem. After trying to change feeding, I finally gave up and got Salifert's flatworm exit. It worked great.

i've never had them, but people seem to have had great succes with it.

Why would you want to get rid of them? I have them and all they seem to do is crowd up my glass. Has anyone had flat worms kill anything? cause I read in my book that they are a pest but they dont say they do anything harmful. Bristle worms are pest the "eat" coral I can understand getting rid of them. not flat worms

A natural preditor to flat worms is the YELLOW CORRIS WRASSE. Take a bit of time, but they always seem to work when my clients have broken out with them. I used to put small YCW and watch them get fatter everytime i would service the tanks.

siphon some out when you do water changes if u want to get rid of some of them, or get a brine shrimp net and take them out. Good info wit the YCW I will keep tht in mind if mine gets tooooo crazy.

Hats off to you, I have them and feel the same way. They arent hurting anything, they're easy to control, I siphon them as part of my water change. I feel they must be serving some purpose, helping to break down dissolved organics perhaps? Too much risk with the FWE treatment IMO. I did purchase a yellow coris wrasse to help, but unfortunately it didnt make it through QT. Only problem is people without them dont want them so livestock trading may be tough.

Flatworms have been known to mass die-off and can poision your tank.

but yes methods of control are6 line, 8 line, coris sp. Siphoning them out, and chemical.
