Flat Worms

There's always been some flat worms in my tank and they have all of a sudden exploded. The tank is not covered with them, but there's definitely a lot more than I've ever noticed before. I noticed a few on the shell of one of my clams and I'm about to take it out and clean them off. But my question is how concerned should I be? Does anyone know if these things are really dangerous to clams?

I have a lot of the common reddish brownish flatworms and find them on my clams shells all the time. They never go on the mantle or cause any harm to the clams or anything else in my tank. They syre are ugly though.

Yes they're ugly. They seem to come and go in my tank, and this is the worse I've seen them right now.
