I dosed the tank with about 75% more than recommended for my size aquarium for flatworm eradication. This is about the recommended dose for killing zoa nudis. I don't have any acros, so I know that dying flatworms are not a factor. All of the other snails are acting normally. About 24 hours after the dosing, all of the ceriths were lying on the sand at the front of the tank. They appear to be paralyzed as they are extended from their shells, but just totally frozen. I moved them all to some stored saltwater in a measuring cup, and it looks like some have recovered, but some are still frozen. If I touch them, they retract for a second and then extend again.
Mike- All of the corals, shrimp & fish are fine. Everything remained open after the dose. Unless you have a ton of flatworms that can poison your tank when they die, I wouldn't be too worried about using Exit.
Barrman- how long did it take for your snails to recover?
Does anyone know how long it takes for this stuff to clear out of a system. I am going to dose it again in a week to kill any remaining nudis that haven't hatched yet. I'll just remove the ceriths first for a few days.
