thanks,

eddies has it i believe. but sure any lfs...like union, something fishey , and S.B. can special ordere. speak to tony (TA) as i believe he has experience using chemicals to remove flatworms. not sure he use flatworm exit but maybe another form. in anycase what ever he used it worked if i remember correct.

new info! never heard this but have recently read that limiting light helps reduce or keeps them in check. not sure this is true but worth the research. other natural forms are fish like wrasse but not a garentee.

I've used flat worm exit before and it has worked well. I did dose it very high and well above the recommened insturctions, but it did do the trick. I had a huge infestation, it was when I first got into th3e hobby and it took me a while to figure out what they were and then a little longer to find out how to get rid of them. So they had a lot of time to get out of hand. It did the trick though and corals and fish were uneffected. Lots of amphiepods died though. I got mine for Marine Depot.

i think i will just go with flatworm exit, they are only in my nano and not in main so they must have hitchhiked on a frag. I would add a six line, but i can only have 2 fish in the nano, and would rather have something else. I think i will just oreder it from Marine Depot. I went to eddies and i didnt see it, and called union, and they didnt have it either.

Did you ask....I had to? I got mine there. Stuff works great....from the looks of your pic, you're gonna have a ton of them floating dead all at once....try to siphon them out....they're supposedly toxic when so many die at once and left in the system.

btw, my six line wouldn't touch them.

no, i just looked. Ill go back tommorow and ask them if they have it. The pic above is before the water change i did last week, i took a turkey baster and blue them off the rocks and into the siphon. Before i do the treatment i will siphon out as many as i can, and then do a water change after.

I heard it works within an hour, when do you recommend doing a water change? I have quite a bit of coral in the nano, but only 1 fish, couple of snails & hermits.

I can't remember how long it took right now before a water change, I know it waas not more than an hour, I think it was more like 20-30 min. I also used a lot of carbon after. It killed them very fast. It is a funny feeling to be overjoyed watching things dieing in your tank.

Agreed. Fast acting. Think I did the water change and added lots o carbon about 1-2 hours later. You will know for sure. All of a suden you'll have hundreds (based on you pic....thousands! :D ) of the little suckers just floating off. Think I repeated a week later 'just to be sure'.

good luck

btw....CALL Eddies....no need to drive out there. ;)

Okay, i got the flatworm exit in the mail, should be here tommorow, i picked up some activated carbon from eddies. I ususally dont run carbon 24/7, but after an hour do you think i can just leave the carbon in the nano? I also have Chemipure in there now, should i take that out before i add the Flatworm exit?

Yes. And turn off your skimmer while treating.

i remember alot of you guys also stating that you turned all flow down when treating so you could skimm the dead worms from the top when the deceased accoured and floated up. it happens in minnuted after dosing if i remember right?

WOW, talk about Intand Flatworm Death, Just added it two minutes ago and they are dying like crazy. Getting a lot of slying from my corals, got a 25% water change ready to go in a half hour, along with Carbon.
