Flatworm stop

Anyone have any thoughts on Flatworm Stop by Korallen Zucht for aefw. Is it effective, worth the substantial cost? Do you need to turn off skimmer, remove carbon? Seems harmless but is it effective or just something else to put in the tank?

It doesn't work effectively on aefw, it's best for red planaria if I'm not mistaken.

If you have aefw there is no single product you can add to your tank to rid it of them. You basically need to try to get predatory fish and "live" with them ( most likely they will win) or dismantle tank/acro's and dip them all consistently till its gone or the safest route qt and dip all acros and leave the Dt acropora free for a while ( search for exact time) ..

It's pretty well documented and not an easy task, I'd suggest looking into it deeply here or Google in general fwiw.

Doesn't work to my knowledge. It may keep them in check but will not eradicate. I got some frags from a tank that the owner had been dosing that stuff for a while. He thought they were clean, when I got home and dipped, they were not, lol.

+1 on rovster!
Really help acros heal the tissue quickly(visible on bitemarks) but does absolutely nothing on aefw.At least in my exp with them:(
Still use it a couple of times in the week.I never close the skimmer and don't know about carbon, since i don't use one.Think there is no need to remove it,if you use though.

When killing them, vacuum up as many bodies as possible as they can foul your water.
You can suck them up dead or alive with a piece of rigid tubing with some airline on it.
Some Wrasses think flatworms are candy.

I have an exquisite wrasse and a mystery wrasse along with a white spotted filefish, dip all the corals and use a baster on them twice a week, and still the little rascals sneak through. The tank is a heavily stocked 180 with 60 sump and tearing it apart would do the same to me. May try the flatworm stop for the 3 months recommended and see what happens or try levamasole depending on how all this works out. I hate to put anything toxic in the tank especially since we all spend so much time , effort , and money on water and tank environmental purity
