Hey all,

I teach an Invertebrate Zoology lab at Auburn and I am looking for specimens of acoel flatworms for the lab we will be having a week from tomorrow. These are the common red pest flatworms (Convolutriloba). Does anyone in Auburn or the surrounding area have a flatworm problem and would be willing to let me come over and grab some or ship some to me?

Thanks!
Kevin

I don't consider them a problem (more a food source), but I've got some planaria flatworms I'm sure I can round up for you. I let them grow because I have several fish that eat them (mandarin, wrasses, etc.).

I'm pretty fond of them as well. Are the ones you have reddish and reproduce quickly? I just want to make sure we are taking about the same ones.

Thanks!

These appear more brown, but (visually) the same body type as the red ones. They seem to be pretty quick reproducers, too.

Those sound perfect gflat65! Do you think I could drop by and pick some up sometime Monday or Tuesday of next week?

omega981, where is aquarium fantasies?
