If you mean the type used for overflows, I have 2 new ones I was going to bring back to the critter (they are brand new). I bought them a few weeks ago and now don;t need them. Want me to bring them tomorrow when I pick up the puffer? I will sell them for what I paid for them. Let me know.
I have a ton of computer fans, might aswell put them to good use![]()
Want to let any of those computer fans go?![]()
that cheap hose like you have photo's sells at TSC and Home Depot. somewhere in teh $10 range at 25'. it is by the sump and well pumps. as for the fans, I have all of mine held to my canopy with screws. for the two that blow air into, they are screwed into the corners. the other two are screwed into a small piece of wood that was glued to the lid. they blow across the lights.
i want them to blow at the metal halides directly, so they have to be held at an angle.
If i screw them in they'll blow air horizontally into the canopy, not on a 45° angle at the halide pendant glass where the heat is.
When you blow air directly at the lights, it makes a huge difference.
ANeal,
Cut an angled standoff, glue it to a box hole in the canopy, then screw the fan to that. Instant angle.
i dont know what that bracket would look like but i'm not gona have the fans inside the canopy since they're computer fans. i dont think they're made to be used in high moisture areas.
the fans are gona be behind the canopy where the tanks black frame is
im not sure if i'm makin any sense
andy ..i should be home by 5:00 if u want to pick up the puffer ..give me a call b4 u leave to make sure i'm there
I will take four if you have that many. I have a supply or two laying around. PM me with the specifics. thanks.
If you want great fans for your reef that are super quiet, check out the Yate Loon fans on eBay. You can find them for around $8 shipped and they are super quiet and great fans! I have one on my sump.
