I'm dosing kalkwasser through my ATO. Currently I have a 10 gallon brute can that I use to hold my ATO water (I have several fail safe measures so I feel confident that the size won't be an issue).
I have a slight worry that the kalk may lose some potency, my brute can lasts about 10 days between fill ups. I was wondering if I could use a "˜floating lid' in addition to the brute can lid. I was going to cut a circle of that plastic bubble wrap that company's use when they ship delicate items. My goal is to have the plastic sheet move down as the water is used, thus reducing the surface area of the exposed kalkwasser.
Good idea? Bad idea? Chemical leaching issues? Other issues?
