this reminds me of the old Godzilla movies from the 50"s/60's when you could see the strings holding up the flying dinosaurs

I don't think you could get the lines to ever be very invisible. They will get algae on them even if they start near invisible. I've been tempted to try this before, but haven't actually tried. I think it is an interesting look.

I would be worried about my fish swimming into the lines and hurting themselves. have you seen any issues with this?

Like the movie avatar? Floating rocks? Have u tried supergluing one of the most fake hollow rock decor?

To each his/her own. I don't like the look of frag pugs in a DT (though I understand the reason for them), but who am I to judge? If you like it, and it doesn't rip a fin off a fish, enjoy!

First, I want to compliment you that your tank looks very cool -- natural, lots of coralline and beautiful fish....but....

I am pretty sure the fish "alarms" are going off. My observation in watching fish in my tank is they sometimes they just get "spooked" even for no good reason. They knock over all kinds of things -- rocks, frags, snails, or bumping into something. I couldn't figure out why my clam was falling off his rock. So I setup a time-lapsed videocam -- turned out my lawnmower blenny would get spooked and was knocking him off. Its doesn't happen much, but it took me awhile to figure it out.

IMO, I think its just a matter of time a fish gets spooked and gets one of their fins caught. If you have a dinner-party and wants to temporarily impress friends maybe its cool-effect, but in the long-term it will probably bite you. You're better off attaching magnets to the glass/rocks and making rock ledges instead.

lol... you can have reefing friends! Nobody comes to our house either. We both moved here from another state and have somehow remained fairly reclusive for uh... 10 years. :lolspin:

Few updates.
