floating piece of frogspawn

2 days ago my girlfriend started yelling "what is this? what is this?" and we noticed what looked like a bubble of our frogspawn was floating around the tank. i tried to get a couple pictures with my cell phone, and in doing so I failed to notice where it ended up landing.

Is this a normal way that frogspawn will spread?

That happens. Either it's stressed and sending out lifeboats, or something's nipping tentacles off. Both happen.

The 2 heads on my frogspawn have both recently split. And a dead branch also has 3 new heads growing out of it.

Could this also be stress?

I had seen such, when the big fish tried to taste frogspawn. No long-term problems to the coral, grows well.

No need to worry. It happens. You shed hair and they sometimes shed a tenicle so to speak...

yes mine has done this multiple time, just be careful where they land.....mine landed on a micro not good
