how long can a flordia ric be out of water..i want to chisel one off a rock but i cant do it in the tank..

I think like any other coral. I wouldn't go more than 5-10 minutes or whatever but I know people that have had their tank crack and leak and their corals were out of water for almost 24 hours. Not all of them survived but more than I would have thought.

cool i think i can get it off in 5 minutes..its pretty soft rock..

I have had them out of water for 20 min.....Not a good thing to do on a regular basis but they can survive it.....5- 10 min is a good amount of time....
