I was wondering if the big green hermit crabs we have here in the florida grass flats is the same as the green thin line i see for sale on the internet? Is this a good crab for a large fowlr tank?

here is what the most common look like

Well, all hermits are going to be opportunistic. They probably wouldn't be great for tanks with small bottom-dwellers, but most hermits are okay for FOWLRs with larger, active fish. Hermits are slow movers, not really made to kill faster things.

the only fish i worry about is my harlequin tusk 2 1/2". because when that guy sleeps he passes out

I have 4 of them in a 55g. They've never touched any of the snails, shrimp, fish, or smaller hermits that they live with. They mostly eat algae, dig through the sand, and pick at my rock. But, like the others said, they're crabs, so I wouldn't be surprised if I caught them eating something more meaty.

A friend of mine has one in a 20g. Only thing in the tank. We had put a small Grunt in there just for a few days before we went back to the coast. Didnt even last the night. Little guy went to sleep and the Hermit took the opportunity.
