Floridian critters

Well, I'm still sorting and editing, but so far so good. I think I got some decent images. I'm learning my way around the newer DPP 4 as well.

Cheers :)

Yeah Jesse, the light was good. My sister's a pain the butt though wanting to go out mid day :). Luckily my brother in-law is into photography too. We rallied and told her we were only going out on the boat at sunrise and the few hours after or before sunset. Since we were on "vacation", sunrise only happened once, but the light was spectacular light!

Another gator for you :).

Ugh, blew the chest feathers out.

Still more to come.

Fantastic photos. I'm a big fan of the gator on the dock. Getting that perfect reflection in the water really makes the shot. They're all quite excellent, though. Maybe it's time for me to get into wildlife photography. I'm normally more of a landscape guy, but I haven't been nearly as motivated on that front since moving back to Florida.

Thanks - yeah my roots are landscape for sure!! Especially travelling across the US a few times. Tons of stuff from the 4 corners area and all over Washington, CA and others. Still did, and do tons of landscapes up here too. However, since "here" is Alaska the wildlife opportunities are as often as the landscape ones! It's a photographers paradise (but you probably knew that already :)). Florida doesn't seem like it would be a haven for a landscape photographer but with one new lens you could kill it doing wildlife, especially birds! I am amazed at the constant action that goes on down there in the wetlands.

Awesome! Nice shots, fl does have some nice critters

Thanks - it has some nasty ones too. Like the fire ants that cranked up my leg enforce when I stopped on there "home" to take some images of a gator :furious: - yikes!

Nice, you got a fisher!!!!

It's been taunting my brother in law for years! Hard suckers to capture as they're so skitish and jumpy! Yeah I got one there and I got another on a canal with a fish in it's mouth! Though in that one he's standing on a metal post :(.

I love the light on this one.

New meaning to "big gulp"

Off to Moab. Mostly for mtn biking but I'll bring one camera and one lens. We'll see if anything comes of it.
