Flow for a BB tank

If I had to guess, it would not so much need to be a lot "more"flow than a substrate tank, but more of it would need to be lower to prevent stuff from settling, and keeping it suspended in the water column. Like Powerheads across the bottom since sandstorms would not be an issue.

here is my bb 90 gallon like stated above I have 81x turnover
and things are going well for me
I havent started to stock with corals yet prolly will start addind them like in a week

yeah if i had a BB tank i would have at least 50x flow if not 75x. You do not need to worry about sandstorms and *usually* more flow is better (please dont yell at me with all the corals that dont like high flow  )

my BB has 45x turnover...i could go with more, but i definately would not go with much less then that.

The vast majority of fish are fine with these overall flow rates. In a BB tank, I would not go anywhere under 50x. The whole point is to keep detritus from settling while keeping corals happy. I seriously doubt you could accomplish that much below this number.
