Unfortunately no. You could get an even larger pump and drill the tank to be used as a closed loop, but I think that is more work than you're looking to do, but it would look clean. In a FOWLR the powerheads aren't keeping coral alive, but they are providing an important service and that is to keep all the extra detrius and garbage in the water column so it can be skimmed out. In a FOWLR you are usually dealing with even more food waste so in essence they are important. Fortunately you don't need to spend money on expensive units that will provide wavemaker type results. You can easily get away with cheaper ph's and they will accomplish the same task.
