Flow, powerheads and wavemakers

How much flow should i be trying to get in a 60gallon tall tank. I am getting some slime on the subtrate in the front and a little on my live rock. Is this just a new tank thing or is a dead spot issue? I have 3 Koralia powerheads.. a 750 a 550 and i am not sure of the other. How many GPH should i be looking for. I was thinking of getting a surge strip that has times on it as well so i can try to get that back and forth wave action thinking that should help.

Any insight? this tank is probably only 3-4 months old but all the live rock came from established tanks. I am just trying to do right by my fishes, shrimp and softies. =):fish2:

Just keep doing what your doing. [flow wise]
Sounds like feed a little less and increase WC some.
If the tests are ok. Then ride this out.



Add on...More flow will not hurt. Total water movement between 30X up to 100X tank volume between return and PH.

as mr wilson told me on here ur return sould be atleast 10 to 15 times the tank size

but remenber if 400 gph go's in the flow would be that of 800
