Flow Problem in 24G nano cube

I have been having problems finding a good position for the maxijet 400 that I am using for flow in my 24G nano cube. I dont have too much room down the side of the rockwork and when I point it from the back corner to the front corner, it seems to be too much flow for the corals on the other side of the tank. If I point it up, it seems to also be too much flow. If I point it down, it blows sand all over the tank. I just have run out of ideas on where to put this thing in such a small tank.

Any ideas???

I have a 24g, ive placed my pump low down in the left hand corner with the nozzle facing to the front of the tank but with the deflector angled slightly to the glass, you have to fiddle with it to get it ok, at first it seemed too strong but it worked after a while.
