60 sps bb cube. i was thinking of doing to seios the 1500s maybe the 2600s but now i dont want powerheads in the tank. now im thinking of doing a ocean motionn super squirt for a return do you think i should use the seios also or just the ocean motion?

I use an OM squirt with a mag 9.5 as a return.

I also run mj 900's periodically on an ac jr. (wave making setting) to stir up detritus.

why not a closed loop?

i really dont have anymore room in my stand for another pump... its only 24x24 i already have a asm g2, a dual chamber calcium reactor a 35lb co2 bottle, a hqi halide ballast, a return pump, a ph/orp monitor controller, a ozonizer, and a pump to feed my chiller. there is a little room but thats going to be used by a kalk top off *** soon as im done with it. so ya space is kinda tight

Thanks but there is so much left to do :) think after all the talking to other rc members the om squirt was the way to go for me.
Good luck in your choice

how many gph are you petting through your tank? is it on a closed loop or just the return? and last is that the only flow your going to have?

I have it for the return line. I just picked up a blueline hdx30 around 1130gph. should be more than enough for a bb tank.
P.S. its all i am going to have

What about those ice cap (vortec) pumps i was thinking about those for my 60 before i upgraded/ got rid of that setup

ok my new idea is to take the existing return and with some black pvc bring it to the bottom and make a spray bar to keep the crap off the bottom. then the ocean motion will be used on a closed loop i have limited room and im looking for a small pump that packs a punch any sugestions im looking for over 2500gph
