I have a 29 gallon tank with a 10 gallon sump. I have a sand bed and around 32 lbs of live rock. I have xenia, Alveopora, hammer frogspawn, two clams, mushrooms glore and all types of polyps... I have a maxi-jet 1200 with Hydor FLO Rotating Deflector and a Koralia 2 600 gph. The maxijet is so powerful and it blowing real strong all over my corals. What type of flow is correct in this size tank...??? Please help

I would say keep the MJ-1200 from blowing directly on the corals. The Koralia should be fine as it disperses the flow better. If it were me I would move the ph's around to different places until I found the best spot. In my tank I had to experiment some to get the right flow and keep everyone happy. The corals you have are med to low flow so I would avoid aiming the ph's right at them.

You should post this in the nano reef section. You may get more replies.

Maxi jet 1200's push water like a fire hose. You should just replace that with another Koralia 1 or 2.

I agree. The maxi 1200's direct flow is pretty harsh. I have one as well as a koralia #3. I really like the koralia, I think you would like the #2
