What is the general water flow for soft corals(500,600,300,Exc.)

10x system volumn is a good starting point. More if you plan on keeping lps and sps.

If you have a total water volume of 55g then 10x would be 550 gpm of flow inmho I think 10x is way to low for even softies

Agreed, my mixed tank is somewhere around 60-70x an hour turnoever.

I'd shoot for around 20-30x depending on the species you want and go from there.
