Flower anemone advice

I have two. One came unattached, and I placed him in a crack between two pieces of Florida LR. After two days, he moved to the back of my tank, and is apparently attached underneath one of the rocks. His column is exposed (between the rocks) and he is very happy....about 5" in diameter.

The second one came attached to a shell, and I buried the shell in the sand. Same size as the first when I initially got him, but only extends to about 2".

I know they are supposed to be bullet-proof, but I'm worried about the second one. If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it....if not, I'll just uproot him, move him closer to his mate, and bury the shell sideways in the sand, so he can put his foot wherever he wants.

Thanks for any help,

PS They are both fed every other day with mysis, shrimp, or whatever's on hand.

don't bury the shell into the sand. Just set it on the sand next to a rock and it'll move out and attach to the rock a little bit underneath the sand on it's own if it wants or move onto the rocks and attach there.

Flower anemones will move to where they're happy, it's no necessarily where you want them either.

Last night I did as Lance M suggested (thanks!).

This morning I discovered that one has become two! He has split and now has a twin.

Maybe that's why he was looking so poorly lately....
