has anyone had any experience with these corals? i saw one at a LFS and fell in love with it. i had a different LFS tell me because of the way they are collected(deeper waters) that they will most likely die off within 6 months. thanks for any help.

I think they are non photosynthetic (hope that’s the right word otherwise I will look like a right plonker!!) so need to be fed which could be another reason why they die, not to sure though hopefully someone else will chime in because I would like to know if the way they are collected can harm them too!!

Flower Pot corals are one of the most beautiful corals around. Also one of the most difficult to keep alive. Unless you have quite a bit of experience, I would pass on it.

So some research and you'll see what I mean (from sponsor sites).

Hold on, that didn't come out sounding right.

What I meant was look at some of the sponsor sites that sell corals and see what they say. Heck, you're doing research by asking the question. There, that's better.
